Hi JACKO and a warm welcome - Congratulations on your decision to fight for your life! Post often and read as much as possible, that helped me a great deal... It's doable, one step at a time... Love England - was in Manchester in 2002 - lovely community of people... Ya know, I can't imagine a no smoking law, especially in London... so many smokers there (including me back then!). One day at a time, friend. Hey JACKO - Do it this time. Set your mind on it and don't take no for an answer. You're 41? Get tough on yourself. Find what you need to make this the last time. Stop screwing around wityh those cancer sticks and get this quit to stick. You can do it. You know it. I smoked for 29 years, 2 packs a day. If I can stop..... bla bla bla... Seriously - you're entering the second half of your life - want to do it hunched over and suffering for air or jogging with the grand kids? Your call. WELCOME! Hello Jacko, Your name sounds familiar like Our paths have crossed before on this website, And Congrats on making a decission to quit, Well Friend, I myself quit on zyban, would reccomend it greatly to anyone, You might have a little after-taste from the pills, but its lot better then cigerette breathe, I took a pill early in the morning for 7 full weeks, and just convinced myself that they were needed no longer, I smoked 40 years, pack and a half aday, a cigerette has not touched my lips in over 3 years, Am I Braggin, Yeow, I Did It, You can to, Yes, I gave up One addiction of smokeing, and found another addiction of excercising and eating healthy foods, I'm 68 years old, walk 2 miles early in the morning, and lots of times 1 mile at late evening, Well Friend it sounds like Your heart and thinking is in the right place, Just apply the Belief in Yourself that this is doable, I've always use a lot of Positive Thinking on myself when I first quit, and it sounds like You have the Motivation on the way in a Grandchild on the way, So my advice now, try to get it down to 3 cigs aday, before pulling the plug, So stay close to this website, support and encouragement is right here, all You need, The 1st of July, Grit those Teeth, and get that Eye of the Tiger, and focus on looking ahead, never backwards, Good luck in Your journey, Smokeless In Oklahoma :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/10/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1199 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 35,984 Amount Saved: $5131.72 Life Gained: Days: 283 Hrs: 12 Mins: 17 Seconds: 51
