New June Bug 'Hide Out'

Hello, here and smoke free. I am beginning to think that I am through with the physical craves. Not that I am letting my guard down but I think I may have crossed into the "smoking thoughts" realm. I think about it sometimes but it lacks that feeling of "need" like the craves that caused me to slip before. I feels way different. Anyways, I'm here and still smoke free! Can't believe I have made it this far! Hey, Junebugs, there are still so many of us!! I am doing well and still working on the new job, selling away! I am trying to get my 401K money from the bankrupt company to tide me over untill the commissions start on this one. What a headache. Paperwork is hard because that is a frequent smoking time. Why does the nicodemon have me convinced that I can think better with a cigarette, how yucky. Anyways, I am so proud of us, those who quit at the beginning of june are seeing thier 50 days hit now. I would be there except for my slip on the 16th. Anyways, I am stepping down to the last step on my patches on Tuesday. The last step down was no big deal so I am hoping that this one will be ok too. Also, to let you know what effect this has all had on the world. My daughter has 30 days, my mom has 32! Both my sons have quit too. We are really costing those tobacco companies a fortune now! I'm sorry to hear that Ann. Tomorrow is the last day of the month, so let's all run our stats here on the june-bugs so we can see who we still have. i will go back and pick up our list from the other thread. Anyways, I am having a very hard time lately with smoking thoughts myself. I sometimes feel like I could lose my quit through all the stress of the new job. I am also not comming here and reading and posting enough I think. I don't have time, because I am trying so hard not to lose customers though this transision. I need to make time to care for my quit. And to be with you guys. So everybody check in, let me know how you are doing. and if you know anything about people that are not with us anymore, let me know that too so I can get caught up. I feel really lost right now, and I have missed my june-bugs. Here I am and I am feeling much better today! I read my quit journal from the very beginning last night and got kind of a shot in the arm on my resolve to quit. I realized that one thing is I had lost my focus and allowed the job situation to take away from my quit. I needed to make time to come here and read, and also to take care of myself. So here I am! The june-bugs seem to have all had a hard time at the same time but I think it is passed now. Niks: I am so proud of your 50 days!!! congraduations!!! Yes, I have had a hard time lately too but getting better. One thing I did is review all the stuff I read when I first started. It did seem to help. It seem like I had lost my focus and forgot to protect my quit like I used to. Things get routine and you slip backwards. So reviewing all that stuff helped. I will be joining you in the 50 days soon. I have stepped down to the very lowest patches today, and don't really feel a difference. So that is really hopefull. Hump day is Wednesday because you are over the hump of the week! Today is thursday and I am doing great! With the stress of the new job, I do still have "smoking thoughts" now but they have lost the physical feeling of "need" like they used to be. It's a lot easier to disregard them. I can see how you can't ever let down your guard though. The pressure is so intence to produce when you are new on a sales job and also the thing is that my income will be 0 for about 2 months. So I have really had a lot of nicodemon thoughts like "no one would blame you with this pressure" and things like that. Anyways, I am not seeing smoking as an option at all. NOPE. Hey june-bugs, I needed to check in with you. I am still smoke free and happy, and I have a new job with a new company so I have been very busy. That is the only reason that I haven't been here. I am so glad I don't smoke, because it would be quite a trek to the smokers area here, and also, I would be the only one. No one here smokes, so it would be really weird. I'm glad to see that some of you are still with us! It's the end of the month so I think soon we should check in and look at our stats! Hi Mama, I know what you mean about the morning thoughts on waking... I would not even get out of bed until I'd had my first cigarette, somtimes I swear I would subconsciously wake myself up in the middle of the night just so that I could have a cigarette before getting back to sleep...addicted or what!! I get out of bed for a good, strong cup of tea now! Anyhow, wandering off the point, which is to say, I know that you're really busy with your new job, but I hope you've got the time to join us on the Cruise ship on Monday as you'll be at 50 days and you definately deserve a reward!! See you soon, regards Lilly. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,603 Amount Saved: 430 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 6 Mins: 1 Seconds: 48
