I am SO proud of you Jacko!! I was absolutely gutted that we went out on penalties, and just wanted to cry. Was drinking loads last night but I didnt smoke. I think you are doing brilliantly, I know you have zyban but you still need to will power to want to do it, I can see that you have that will to succeed. I look forward to seeing you continue on your journey. Congratulations and well done, its quite an acheivement to go from smoking that many a day to zero.. you have the right frame of mind and attitude. You are doing brilliantly, look at your quit meter. HOW MUCH have you saved money wise... all that money NOT going to the government.. good huh HOW MUCH have you not smoked.... aragh that one is scarey (esp for you I am sure) You are doing brilliantly. How is it going? is it still going good? Hi Jacko, I read on another thread that you said that you didnt take a zyban pill yesterday. I just wanted to say, that i had previously lost a quit because i came off zyban too early. I thought i was ok, but I ended up losing my quit I think 2 weeks in, because I got into a dangerous situation. I talked to the nurse about this, and she said that like much medication Zyban takes a few weeks to build up in your body, which is why you need to take it for up to 2 weeks before you quit. When I stopped takin it early on, I thought i didnt need it anymore, after a while the supplies of it left my system, when I got into a dangerous situation, without it, I found that my resolve was slightly less.. It might not happen but just so that you are aware. My longest quit has also been cold turkey and for 3 months. I am determined that this time I will never ever smoke again. Jacko, I loved your post about the wife can't stop kissing you. Now, after reading the history of the first 4 days, like it even more. Gee- you have been through a lot, but didn't go back. That rocks. JACKO superbly done! Congrats on an AWESOME 5 DAYS!!!! We all go through our 'testing' stages. I think that happens just to show us how strong we really are. And you came through all that crap with flying colors! (sorry about the game loss, but there will be others!) :) Keep up the AWESOME job. You seem like you are pretty fearless and that speaks volumes for your quit and to others who are just coming in and seeing this post. You set an example for others too! Stay strong you ARE doing this!! Many Blessings Sent Your Way! Eve :) ~The moment your desire to quit overpowers your desire to smoke, your decision's been made~ My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 85 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 686 Amount Saved: $255 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 5 Mins: 15 Seconds: 41
