Shannon,
All I can say is WOW! Any one of those things alone would be tough, but all of them put together at the same time has got to be overwhelming! I really do feel for you!
Unfortunately, your husband must quit on his own, on his own terms. It sound to me like he doesn't understand addiction. That's OK! Until I found this site, I didn't either. I thought that I could simply cut back too and stay cut back, but unfortunately, addiction doesn't work that way... it's an all or nothing thing. Perhaps you could direct him to this site? It sounds like maybe he wants to quit, but doesn't know that quitting means N.O.P.E. - Not One Puff Ever and that's the ONLY way to quit!
I know that it must be very difficult to be supportive and understanding right now when you're doing something so wonderful for yourself, and your husband isn't helping better your lives, but try. Perhaps, have a heart-to-heart and see how he feels... see if he still does want to quit, and if so, direct him to this site, or tell him about your experiences quitting.
I certainly hope the best works out for you! Everything you are going through must be extremely difficult! You must be a very strong person to deal with all of that and quitting too! Hang in there and don't add losing your quit to the list of bad things going on! You're doing a wonderful thing for yourself! Your quit MUST be the most important thing to you! Hang on! I will be praying for you that things get better for you soon!
Crave the Quit!
Pam
