Hi Penitent - Thanks so much for your post... I really appreciate your post, Penitent ... it makes me realize just how many threads are posted here that are filled with drama, desparate cries for help as you say ~ and angst - and how few speak to how easy and carefree a Quit CAN be, if only one allows it to BE... I am going to post a new thread about this very thing, hoping newbies can also be made aware that much of the drama they are reading may well be due to the drama in the poster's life:) Quitting is not the end of the world :) Wisdom... Hi Rachel... Thanks so much ~ and thanks especially for the support in other posts here... A gentle soul can make a significant difference in supporting others in their Quits. And although some have not walked the gentler, easier side of the Quit journey (as all Quits are different), it IS a very real experience for many ~ of the Quit journey. And it will be acknowledged, so that new Quitters can be introduced to all Quit journeys... I wish that I had read about the easier Quit when I joined the SSC... I had no idea it even existed, as all I read were the dramatic cries and pleas for support...so I believed that true for each of us, and of course, for me... And it's just not necessarily so. Ron... thanks so much, friend... I appreciate YOU... I am so grateful for the ease at which I have made this Quit journey... I have read and heard of the difficult Quits - well I am here to share with you that not all Quits are filled with angst and fury... they just don't have to be, friends... Allow YOUR Quit to be YOURS... And mine, for the most part, has been done without angst... What I am most grateful for are the friends I have made along the way, and for the wisdom I have with me daily... I have learned so many amazing lessons on this Quit journey... I have learned to take the love that is given to me so freely from friends ~ :) I have read alot here - some rambles, as the writers have called them... and I have found some wisdom in the words... Take with you what blesses you, friends ~ focus on the positive and the love ~ Thanks, friends for celebrating this powerful milestone with me!
