Hi Folks
Yesterday was my one year being smoke free. I can't believe how quickly it passed. I am excited at having a year done as I can no longer look back and relate an activity with a season and hence the cigarette. I still have my little 'rush' cravings (lasting all of 4 seconds maybe)but when I think over the last year and how difficult the first 5-6 months were, hey a little rush craving is nothing. I have no issues being around smokers other than I don't like to be smelly..I am quite pleased with myself to know that I am no longer a slave to the cigarette. Without a doubt many of you were instrumental in helping me stay on the wagon and not pick up, there were a few times I was close. I think my turning point was when my my car burned up in NOvember and as it was burning my thoughts were "wow, my car is burning down, it's a crisis and I don't even want a cigarette".
A big thanks to everyone that continues to be on the site and continue to share their thoughts and wisdom with new quitters. All of you can rest easy in knowing that YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE in the lives you touch.
Lady, thank you for the times you were there for me...
Cheers
Zookie
