Dear Newbies,
Hello, I am Mama. I have quit smoking for 100 days today. I wanted to let you know how it has been for me so that you can feel encouraged.
I didn't think I would ever make it this far. I had been smoking 3 packs a day for 35 years. I had a really really hard time the first month, I even had a slip... My origial quit was June 1st. I reset my meter on June 18th. I cryed and screamed! I posted and read post. The first month, I lived on this site all the time and didn't get a bit of work done or anything else.
I had some emergencies happen. My company filed bankruptcy, my son hurt himself and had stiches, one by one I handled it with out smoking. My mom is dying of COPD, and she continues to smoke. My daughter finally decided to quit with me.
Now, I don't come to this site very often at all. I don't think about smoking much eather. I have had opportunity and motive and have definatly decided not to smoke. I think I have made it.
I feel so much better. I just want all of you to know that it gets better, easier and then you don't think about it much at all anymore. Don't let the nicodemon tell you otherwise. If you don't believe me, do a search on my name (mama) and read my history. I had a hard time, Slowly I got over it, and now here I am at 100 days!
Love,
Mama
