TY Everyone!! I just now saw this thread!! Y'all made me have a moment!! My daughter tells me I am so random!! LOL!!!
Y'all have seen me at my worst and yet the best is still to come =)
TY for believing in me. It helps concrete the fact I must and can believe in myself. I am so happy to be here and I am so thankful I do not have to go thru this alone. Y'all have helped bring out the best in me and have taught me my personality will not change. The only thing that has changed is my health by quitting smoking.
Thank you for not giving up on me. Thank you for cheering me on and giving me the courage, the love, the support, and the friendship to take another step. Thank the stars our wonderful coaches who started this online support group. I can honestly say I would never attend a face to face support group for quitting smoking. I have realize I was ashamed for having this addiction and that is why I never smoked out in public. I wanted to be like everyone who wasnt a smoker and in a harsh reality moment, I was a coward.
Now I can raise my head, smile, and make a funny face when I smell a smoke. I am no longer ashamed of my addiction as I realize that we have all hid our demons from the world. Thank you for not judging me and thank you for embracing me.
I am a better woman, mom, daughter, grand daughter, wife, friend, and maybe a role model to those around me. All of this would not be possible if it werent for the wonderful people on this support group.
As Anita Baker once said, "You bring me joy."
