Hi everyone, Just wanted to check in with everyone today. I have been back to work in full force and not much time at home. I am doing excellent with my quit. After the laser therapy treatment I have had no cravings, no meaness, didn't kill anyone...etc. It is amazing and I must say this is the easiest quit in my life. I still have those funny dreams that I am smoking in....woohoo at least it really isn't in my lungs. The smell of smoke is starting to bother me and coffee just doesn't taste the same to me anymore (toooooo bitter). It is funny how your taste changes. I am not going to say that laser took away everything...at times I think about them and then the thought goes away. I really suggest doing some research on the internet to see if laser treatment is available for you. TRUST ME IT WORKS, this is my third quit since 1997 and was a smoker for 27 years. No, I don't work for a laser company, I am a secretary to a ex-smoking attorney who really hates cigarettes and said she probably wouldn't have hired me if she knew I smoked. I will be with her a year on August 1st. She was a great help in the beginning when I wasn't strong and before the laser. God bless everyone here and I hope you have a successful quit. Thanks for all the support everyone. Yes Niks, it was $300.00 but I know I will make that up in no time with my quit. When I went for the first session of laser I had just taken my patch off and left for it. I had to be 24 hours free of nicotine before the treatment would actually be sufficient. The did a treatment on me that day and then had me come back the next day for what they call a "booster", which is the same thing they did the day before. It is a light laser therapy (almost like accupunture but they don't stick needles in you) and they did it in different spots on around the finger, on my wrist, on my elbow, all around and in my ear and on the corner of my nose. I was really laying there thinking to myself "I hope this works"!! The only thing I felt was a little tingle in the wrist area. Some people say preasure points and some say pulse points...I don't get the differnce because she stuck it to my thumb right by the side of my nail...not sure what is there!! Thanks again everyone and keep going with your quit. I can really tell how different I feel. HEY DARCY!!!! Woo Hoo how great to hear from you. I was wondering how you were doing, but I am not allowed to post a thread with your name in it. I am pleased that the reason I didnt hear from you, is because you are doing SO WELL on your quit! Keep in touch, as i know we started our quit on the same day. I dont know anything about this laser therapy the first I heard of it, was when you said about it. Is it expensive? And you have no cravings AT ALL?? Not whatsoever?? I am still on zyban, and dont really have cravings much anymore, although I do get the odd thought. Last night i went to eat out, and the first place we went to, smelt of smoke, and I really couldnt eat there, so I chose to go to a non smoking venue across the road, and that was a lot better.. yeah I guess we change! Good to hear from you again, keep in touch!! Wow that would cost 300 for treatment in the UK. Good to hear that it is working, did u get a patch to use after treatment? I was reading about it on one site, that they give you a patch which contains the treatment and you can use that for two weeks? I was interested to hear what happened after the two weeks. Check back in again Darcy and let us know how you are going!
