Island Girl reporting for duty! I am still here and still not
smoking! In fact, I was telling someone today that those days
seem very far away.
I am very proud to be a Knight of the Empty Ashtray and I am
very proud to be in this group of supportive, encouraging
folks that have run, walked, limped, and run again on this bumpy
emotional ride we call life without a smoke.
I feel better than I have in a long time. My friends and family
couldn't be more proud. I have rewarded myself over and over
again - big things, little things, and things inbetween. I have
learned more about myself than I ever thought possible. I have
learned to lean on other things beside a cig, I have learned
how to deal with stress in a different way. I have learned to
party in a different way and I am having to learn to love my
husband in a totally different way. I am learning to be more
patient with him in his inability to quit.
Not smoking has literally changed my life and I'm loving it.
Thanks to my all fellow Knights - you are awesome!
