Thank you for your kind words Breaking Free. There are nine people in my group that are in contact outside of the SSC. There is serious consideration to bow out of the SSC period. Us elders feel ignored and definately not wanted. We base this on the number of replies to our posts, the degree that they are pushed aside for ice cream, cruise boats, and the like. Just my opinion and not to be taken too seriously. When I started these Clubs, the Centruy Club being the first, my sole objective was to establish a place where achievement for not smoking could be recognized and also a neat place where members could rest and plan and set goals for their next milestone journey. Where peers and new quitters alike could share ideas for staying quit and also share their methods for reaching freedom from nicotine addiction. Over the past year and a half there have been a lot of changes, successes and failures as well. I don't mind if people want to create their own nitches as long as the main theme of not smoking is first and foremost. In the past 18 months I have seen a huge number of success stories. People who never in a million years thought they could become non smokers have done so and it is so rewarding to me to see this happen. People with the will and determination coupled with a great support group like this one really can succeed. I truly hope that the membership will become more focused on not smoking and obtaining their goals and dreams for being a non smoker. I would also hope for a new focus on helping and lifting up those in need of support. I forgot to tell you Lady you have unrestricted access to the golf course. So swing away, always remember fairways and greens and a lot of one putts. Still getting used to the new address, we elders are not used to seeing ourselves at the bottom of the heap on these posts but I guess that is our new lot in life. It only took one day to get pushed clear off the page and out of sight. Bleu so glad to see you wow the Unsmokeables are really at 18 months and we are so glad you are with us. All we need now is for Major Dude to show up and we will all be here. Continued success to all you quitters Love and Huggs Duffis My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 538 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 16,149 Amount Saved: $1382.66 Life Gained: Days: 107 Hrs: 15 Mins: 53 Seconds: 12
