29 Weeks - 203 Days - 406 Pies

Riverdale Man - if you ever get overloaded with pies, please feel free to send one up my way in Caledon. It's a funny association - but my grandmother lived in Riverdale for probably 70 years, and her baking was amazing, of course. She passed away at 92 - her hair wasn't even completely grey, she was mostly blind, had never learned to really speak English since she came to Canada as a young woman, and still lived alone, walked to church, walked to the store, almost every day. My hero. Hooray that meter just rolled around on 29 weeks. Thats 203 days. I am very happy. Oh yes the 406 pies. Well rolling the dough and picking the fruit and opening and closing the oven actually take care of all of the physical activity needed to not gain any weight. If I find that some are a little rich or I need a bit more physical activity I will whip the cream and whisk the custard by hand. There we go. Besides every one of those delicious pies is made from the freshest ingredients and becuase the fruit is straight from the orchard it is blessed with a lack of weight. No smoking here and glad of it. Benefit and blessing keep appearing in my life. My lungs are beginning to look pink again and I am getting compliments on my breast stroke which is very encouraging. Paris next international competion, Spring 2007, good reward for being quit. I keep on going one step at a time, thanks Lady. Glad for all of you and your support and your kind words. Especially grateful for those who have held my hand in all of my angst and fear. Glad to share with you my new found confidence at having kept my word to myself for 203 days. Hooray. If you are new and reading this. Come on in, break through. There is plenty of freedom to be found in the quit world. If you are struggling know that the struggle changes and morphs into something different. What you concentrate and direct your energy towards will grow. So if you want to grow your quit keep putting your energy and your concentration towards being quit. Keep nurturing your commitment and no matter what never light another. Peace Phillip Gotta love them PIES! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 203 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,060 Amount Saved: $1522.5 Life Gained: Days: 33 Hrs: 2 Mins: 0 Seconds: 15
