I too just passed my four year anniversary. Someone asked how it feels. I can tell you that it is the most liberating feeling in the world. No longer am I controlled by that awful addictive behavior! I will never regret quitting, I only wish I hadn't waited so long to do it. I recently had a total knee replacement. After the surgery, my blood oxygen level dropped and I was on oxygen for several days after surgery. After numerous test to rule out blood clots, the synopsis was that it was the result of my past history of smoking. See, folks even when you quit, it comes back to kick you in the butt. To those of you in the early stages of your quit, HANG TITE! The journey is soooooooo worth it and you travel that road one day at a time!
