Congratulations Auntie! Your an inspiration! Tomorrow is my day one, and in following your posts, I see that you've had a bit to deal with in your first quit week. But you made it! Your great example gives me hope for the start of my new journey tomorrow. And it delighted me to hear of the wonderful reward from your granddaughers.
Thanks for sharing,
Ericon

Hey Auntie, I too am a friend of Bill W & Dr Bob's 12 steps. Over 15 years now. Funny how in retrospect, this tobacco addiction break seems worse! I don't believe it is though, just my mind playing games & being overly dramatic about my withdrawel. Keep strong, those coming in behind you need inspiration & 'smoke sponsors'!

Day 9 it's supposed to be easier right? I have had more urges to smoke today than I have for several days, I don't know if it's the let down of my daughter going back home yesterday or just those damn nicodemons trying to break me. I'm staying strong, using the tools I have learned and a few from AA just for good measure. Yes, I am an alcoholic and a nicotine addict. I have been sober for 2 years 4 months and 15 days. One day at a time, and I'm not smoking the same way. One day at a time, sometimes 1 minute at a time. I know both of my addictions want me dead! and will try anything to get me back,so I must stay strong. Just getting this out makes me feel stronger and more able to cope. Thanks for letting me vent.
Love, Auntie
