My son & DIL came up from FL last night...and they BOTH smoke! I said yesterday that IF I could jump this *hurdle*, I could consider myself a NON smoker for *real*! Well...my son & DIL gave me due respect & consideration, and kept their smoking outside! But, this morning we went out for breakfast, and after we finished and got ready to leave...they both lit up while standing outside the car! Well, it DID bother NOT to the point I wanted one, but to the point the smell was making me sick to my stomach, which reinforced the *positive* of my quit! I haven't been quit very long, but, with what I have been through so far compared to previous attempts to quit...I can safely say that... I AM a NON smoker, AT LAST! Well done Betty, Its these challenges that make us stronger and more determined to stick to our quit. I found that with each challenge won over it got that little bit easier. You are showing great strength and confidence. Keep it up. You will be joining the cruise ship before you know it. This is exactly the kind of event that deserves a reward. :) Reward your milestones AND 'desirable behavior'. I believe it is vital that new habits and/or self-control be immediately reinforced almost every time. So, reward your self-control Betty.
