No cigarettes for a week now. It gets better every day. The real cravings get farther and farther between. Mostly it's the habit part of picking up a cigarette that is still with me. The phone rings... I reach for one, after meals.... go to get one. I'm sure that will be with me for awhile but already I don't have a dreadful feeling when I realize I'm not having that habitual smoke.
Already I notice my breathing improving. I have no phlegm anymore and when I woke up in the morning it was a constant cough to try and clear it all away. I even have lost the stains on my fingernails.
I smoked 2 - 2 1/2 packs a day. I always bought my smokes by the carton and always had a carton on hand and never really figured out what it cost me to smoke weekly. When I see $91 for the week.. OMG what a jerk was I !! Not smoking is having a huge impact on my life and a very positive impact. And best of all I'm proud of myself. I WILL NOT SMOKE AGAIN!
