I'm now laughing!
I tried a couple of times cold turkey. When I'd only been smoking a few years, it wasn't too bad. I went camping with a bunch of people who didn't smoke and just didn't take any with me - I was 15 or so then. But, lo, I got back from the trip, had a conversation with myself about whether I should smoke or not and, ****, decided that I would! Twenty years later I tried cold turkey again and it was most surely NOT for me! I smoked again and then,*now*, at 40 yrs. old, I found that NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) is a good thing. I'd tried NRT for a few of my past quits, but I just wasn't willing to GO TO ANY LENGTHS to quit like I am this time.
Well, enough of my story. We're here for you 24/7.
