I Have to Vent

Lady, You should be sooo proud of yourself! And I am happy that you chose to vent your frustrations here! I think it's great that you are letting us support you for a change...I admire the fact that you are always around with your words of wisdom for everyone else... Congrats on your upcoming graduation...WOOOOHOOOO! You made it thru and smoke free even for your last year! That is awesome! I was going to ask about the rewards too...everyone seems to have beaten me to the punch on that one...lol...I do have a suggestion tho: Sounds to me like you need "Spa Day"! Why don't you treat yourself to a nice massage or a facial...Something special for your upcoming graduation! YOU DESERVE IT!!! Wishing you brighter and less~stressful days :) Knight Amy My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/3/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 76 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,281 Amount Saved: $285 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 9 Mins: 31 Seconds: 56

Hi Lady, I'm reading this and I'm thinking... Mommy Overload!!! I went through some of that myself last night. Everyone was arguing and I could literally feel my stress level rise, up, up, up. I was on the verge of venting myself all over the room, when I stopped, grabbed the leash, grabbed the dog and out we both went!! I walked my frustrations away. By the time I returned everyone had settled down and I was SuperMom once again. lol. Even though you are feeling so underappreciated, you know that any miniute now one of your rugrats is going to do or say something to you that will make it all seem worth it. Soon I hope!!! Lady, your life could be mine! Coming home after a long day, my 17 year old ready to fly out the door dressed to kill, my house a complete disaster, no supper made, tired and hyper 7 and 4 year old children whining for attention and my husband on his way home for supper...after an even longer day! I think I used to smoke just to keep myself from mangling my family when I was overwhelmed! I love to hear stories like mine, they make me feel sooooo human. Thanks Lady. I know I have a lot to be thankful for but really sometimes its all just more than I can handle. Im really stressed trying to finish out these last 3 classes and those around me arent any help. Hell they dont even realize how hard I have worked to get this far and how much it means to be graduating to me. I get home and people are arguing all over the place. Dad is yelling at my 12 year old, the 12 year old is passing it down to the four year old, my four-year old says he is hungry and the 18 year old (who is suppose to be babysitting) is in bed. Everyone expects me to just walk in, take over, make dinner, and be the referee. I just got in from being gone for 15 hours and Im fricken tired! Im at wits end here. No, I will not smoke but damn sometimes life doesnt seem worth all the aggravation. It would be so nice if I could just run away. I didnt know if I should start a new thread and just vent to let it all out, send someone an email, hop on yahoo or what to do. I feel like Im losing my mind. I saw where someone else posted that they had slipped and I dont even have the energy or the mindset to respond but I know that person needs help. Instead of helping Im sitting here feeling sorry for myself, crying and typing away a post of my own. Sometimes I really wonder what the hell is wrong with me and if I will ever be able in control of any portion of my life. Melanie.. I really don't know what I would do without this place some times. Thanks. Eve... I know there is always God. Trust me.. we have several conversations daily. Thank you for sharing that. I am always encouraged to see others having the same faith because that really is what gets us through life. God is where I always wind up but not always where I start. I should know better. People are sleeping now so at least it is quiet. I treasure the silence (at times). It's been a long day and I need some rest. Lady, Have you rewarded yourself recently??? You just got Hall of Fame this month and I know in 10 days, you've got a major milestone to celebrate, but perhaps a reward a bit early is in order. I know how hard you have worked and continue to work to get to where you are and where you want to be. You've been really stressed for a long time, just holding out until May when you graduate, and May is less than a month away and you're burnt out! I remember that feeling! It's called Senioritis... but in your case, you not only have yourself, but also school, your job, your 3 kids and your dad to worry about too! In addition to all of that, you STILL find time to come here and support quitters on the SSC!!! I understand why you are stressed out! So go get a reward a little bit early!! Make it an "I need a reward" reward. You don't have to have a specific milestone to reward yourself for all of the hard work that you've done! Do it when you're feeling low! And right now, it sounds like there's no better time! Come on! You deserve it! Crave the Quit!
