Hey Gogga, How'd your day go? Are ya still a quitter, I hope so. It's ironic that you're knitting baby clothes because I use to liken the beginning stage of my quit as a newborn. Something to be protected and nurtured at all costs. Even when it meant giving up things that I love for awhile , like coffee. Keep Strong, Keep knitting! I am doing great!! I'm heading to the beach tomorrow, so I must remember to shave though! LOL. Congrats on house hunting! You must be so excited. Is this your first home? Just think, since you've quit, once you get moved in you'll never have to worry about stinkin' up the joint! What a great way to start your new life. What are you knitting? I suggest a scarf that you can wrap around your mouth if the urge to smoke gets too bad!! lol. Also would be a great munchie deterent. Hang in there Gogga, time IS ticking by!! Hi Gogga, you're right, today is the day!! The day you take control back. The day you feel excited and scared. The day that begins your journey of self discovery. You will discover much about yourself and the people around you. Some of it will be good, some bad, but it will all be very worthwhile. My best advice to you in these beginning stages is to keep very busy. You must try to keep your hands and mind busy. This site is a great way to fill in those times when you run out of things to do. Keep Close, Keep Strong, redrosie :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 99 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,383 Amount Saved: $821.7 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 16 Mins: 11 Seconds: 19

Gogga, We are all here for you! Have you started to clean the place up? Rid the house, car and garage of all smoking paraphernalia and start noticing when you get those craves. You need to be ready for them and prepared. Avoid situations that will tempt you and distract yourself with exercise or a hobby. Let us know how you are doing, Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
