Ms. Tuffy, You sound to me like you are really stressed out right now. And yes, you sound like you have a lot of ground to make up to feel like 'everything is okay again'. You have a lot of loss right now. Having things that give you security go away is a major strain on your aility to cope with even normal daily things. The good thing is that you are talking about it. I wonder why you decided to stop smoking right now.. and if you are truly ready.. because afterall, being ready is part of the whole process. What I am saying is .. you need a plan and a good postive feeling that you really want to stop smoking.. otherwise not being ready can mamke it harder than it needs to be. I truly feel your frustration through your capitalized words. I applaud your desire to quit for your daughter and your future. I would do some reading about quitting and make sure you are ready to quit before jumping in. Then when you feel like you are there.. please do jump right in.. Problems won't completely ever go away.. but timing is important. What do you think ? Are you ready ? This is for Tuffy, hope you had a great night. Its hard but I know you can do it. It is so worth it not to be chained to a cig. We can live life without the crutch, it can happen. Believe in yourself. Have a great day!

Hi Tuffy I am Tojo. Please hang in there. It is really worth it. I was able to go up a lot of steps today and was not out of breath. It was a great feeling believe me. I like having my lunch hour devoted to eating lunch or relaxing, not hurrying to make sure I get cigs in before returning to work. I also sleep so much better. Take one hour at a time. It is really worth it. I smoked for 35 years and thought I could never give them up, but now I am discovering the real me without my crutch. Take care!

Hi Tuffy, one way not to smoke is not to have any cigarettes around. As long as you don't put one in your mouth and light it, you are not smoking. Yes, it's hard. No one here will deny that. But it is doable, as long as you want it bad enough. Good luck!
