Thank you Phillip for starting my party a little earlier!! I haven't been able to log on all day and it has been so frustrating! I wanted to celebrate!!!!
I haven't decided on a reward yet - maybe a nice piece of jewelry - I've got my eye on a turtle pendant...Where I live
there are sea turtles that come and lay their eggs on the beach - they have become a great symbol for me. When the eggs hatch the little hatchlings have to crawl across the sand to the water. There are many preditors that want to prevent that from happening. The racoons invade the nest and eat the eggs - not even giving them a chance to hatch, the herons eat the hatchlings as they struggle to get to the water - but once the little turtles get to the water they find a freedom in their new life. This is what my life as a non-smoker has been. The racoons are the little voices in my head before
I began my quit - You can't do it. Why should you quit? Defeating me
before I even started. The herons are the nic demons that have made
life such a struggle in the first of many days of my quit. But I perservered and made it to the water. I am finding a new freedom in my new life.
I am thankful for everyone here on this site. Phillip, you have been
such an inspiration to me, so wise and honest. Colleen - you are
right in front of me, we began this journey together as Knights.
