ARE THESE MY PANTS?

I am battling the bulge, also. And I didn't know about the 200 calories. That explains alot. But I just had to tell you, Chief [think Miss Hathaway fm Beverly Hillbillies], I love the title of this thread. Makes me laugh. I guess you should be grateful though: At least you know where your pants are!! Don't smoke, okay? It's bad for you. Cold Turkeys laugh just hearing the word "Pants"... Mc

Hi Chief: Yes, I think most people gain weight when they quit smoking. I kinda went overboard and put on about 25 lbs. Haven't started losing it yet but hope to when spring comes and I can get outside. I still know that I feel better without the smokes so guess it was a fair trade. Do what makes you feel good as long as you don't smoke. Congratulations on your 28 days quit, thats awesome!!! If you start walking everyday and watch what you eat I am sure you can take off some of that weight. I walk everyday 2 miles in the morn and 2 miles at night and it seems to help. (cold weather and snow has made me resort to exercise DVD's though) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 319 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,397 Amount Saved: $2392.5 Life Gained: Days: 41 Hrs: 19 Mins: 50 Seconds: 36

Did you know that quitting smoking means you get an extra 200 calories a day? That's what the nicotine was burning off. So you have to figure that into any diet/exercise plans. However, I think you deserve a reward for 28 days. How about some no-fat, no-sugar ice cream? YUM! :p Rusty
