Hummy, You have been so inspirational for me this past year! This board just wouldn't be the same without you! You're a real encourager, a real supporter and a real friend. Your strength, wisdom and advice have helped me more times than I can count. You have always been a very positive role model for me throughout this quit. I remember thinking when I first started last June, "that's who I want to be like!" When I was having hard times and couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet, you were always there with a positive attitude and helping hand. Thank you so much for all that you do. You really are one of the great ones! And one more thing... like everyone else has already done, but I just gotta do it too..... This is how it all started, folks! Hummys first post to the 555 Club: 5/5/2005 11:18 AM Hi Rain and Sam and all of you wonderful supporters: I didn't burn my cigarettes in the early AM, I drowned them - in vinegar water (no temptation to wait until they dried out - lol). Home for lunch at the moment, so this has been the first time I could actually go out and buy cigarettes today. I fought the car past a grocery and 2 convenience stores and made it home. Presently, I am drowning in water. My taste buds will never be the same after sucking on so many lemon drops. I don't like to eat in front of the students, so it's lemon drops and gum this afternoon until school is out. Quit Club 555 is officially in session! Hummy At the end of Hummys first day: 5/5/2005 9:43 PM Hi Rain, Going crazy, but hangin' in. Have you heard from Samantha today? I've been up since 3AM (helping my daughter finish a school project), so I'm getting ready to do the bath/bed thing. I'm using nicotine gum at school, but rarely at home - makes my mouth sore if I chew much of it. My favorite cig of the day is the last one before bed, so I bought some chocolate covered cherries (favorites of mine),and plan to give myself a treat before bed tonight. Talk with you tomorrow. WE WILL DO THIS! Hummy ------------------------------------------------------------------- And the rest is history.
