Tonight I searched for previous posts that I contributed during my first quit. (lasted 4 months I think..at this point I can't remember why I failed at that attempt) So I went back and read some of my early posts...how motivated I appeared to be. I wrote a post to my mom who had died from a smoking related illness. I wrote to my children apologizing for giving up so much of my time that should have gone to them..for cigarettes. I was so sure of myself back during my first quit. So sure that I would never smoke again. I am now on 4 months of my second quit and much more humbled. I learn so much about myself from being here, posting my thoughts, and reading yours. I consider you my friends; I have no qualms about sharing any of my thoughts, fears, or joys with you. What we are all going through is hard...but becomes much more manageable when done together. I think about each of you and pray that you will find peace in your quit. God bless and take good care.
