Hi, The saying goes "nobody likes a quitter." I sure hope we have some in disagreement with that line of thinking here! whirred, Welcome to the site and congratulations on becoming an ex-smoker! It is great to hear that you are ready to quit! The question is are you prepared? Please take advantage of our free Online Treatment Program in your glove compartment as you log into our site. This program will first help you determine if youre ready to quit. If youve already quit and are looking for some help, this program is for you. Although the program will first assess if youre ready to quit the exercises at the beginning of the program will help remind you of the reasons why you quit in the first place. Dont get frustrated - ex-smokers have told us that the exercises at the beginning of the program gave them confidence and helped them reaffirm their personal commitment to remain smoke free. The exercises in this program are divided into six major milestones. Think of each milestone as a destination youre trying to reach. After you complete the exercises in each milestone, your car will progress along the road map located at the bottom left-hand side of the screen. The best thing about this program is that it is free and you dont have to purchase any products to use this program. We hope that we have guided you in the right direction today! Please feel free to contact our support department in our feedback section found at the bottom of this page if you continue to have any questions or concerns. Or, please continue to join us here at our online support group! We wish you all the best and look forward to helping you achieve your goals! Melanie __________________ The SSC Support Team

Hey all. Just quit today (or at least trying to... :(). It's really hard because all of my good work friends all smoke, and keep trying to get me to go out with them and smoke. I need to quit, been doing it for too long. I quit once, for about 2 months, when my second daughter was born. I have another on the way now, and need to kick this stupid habit for good! This site seems great, with lots of information and support. I look forward to getting to know all of you and hope to support each of you, as I'm sure you will all support me! Hi, I am new here - and this is my second day of not smoking. Of course I need your help... very hardly... Is this kind of demotivation - doing nothing, is during long? How can I cope with it? Someone else also experienced similar to this - depressed due to quitting? Hi, I am new. Not sure how to do this. Clean from nicotine since 1/14/06 and for the first time in 35 years I have no form of nicotine in my system. I am actually clean and feeling great. The guilt and depression from smoking is gone. I have tried to quit many times before, always with help from patches, gums, wellbutrin, etc. It didn't work. This time I decided that whatever withdrawels I go through, it would not kill me and it hasn't. I have had some pretty tough days, but with help from source and friends, have made it through that. It has been worth it. Today is day 45 and I am excited.
