3 long miserable weeks under my belt!

18 years ago 0 415 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Thanks Rusty. I think the lack of housework for the past 2 weeks is reward enough. I am glad I quit smoking so that I can afford all that take-out we've been eating because I don't feel like moving. I need to set my amount saved number back to zero. I donated all my savings to Pizza Hut!LOL I am starting to feel a bit better. I got out of bed at 10:30am and laid back down for a nap at like 11:30am maybe sooner. I got up went and picked up pizza hut! HAHA!! I feel better though. N2K-I hate it when they are right and right he is but I think I'm gonna kick on back for a couple more days now more as a "Hey I am 21 friggin days smoke free" and I should be HAPPY! I am battling and coming out on top against NICOTINE the most addictive drug out there. I am doing much better than a whole lot of other people and maybe my new found freedom will be contagious to the smokers I associate with. Your man's right and I do need to look at the positive things about this because they far outweigh the bad. Thanks N2K for the reality check! Awwwww Chicken, I have watched you fight through these last 3 weeks and fight through them you have. You should be really proud to have reached this point but bit by bit things will get easier. So now is the time to stop being miserable, embrace your new found freedom and go for it big time. Cuddles has the greatest graphics !!! You are doing the right thing.. hanging around and taking it easy. One thing that helps me is denial.. lol I deny that any cravings affect me at all. I blow them right off and am now busy using up that time I used to spend smoking. I get cravings when I have a 5 minute wait... just enough time for a quick smoke.. working on that now.. I do crave red hots sometimes.. lol Time will begin to fly soon.. I hit 30 days before I saw it coming.. you will too !! Take care and hang tuff ! Huge congrats ChickenStix!! I'm still having a few problems, mainly with being nervous and frustrated and also have had some confusion. LOL. My dear wonderful hubby says the not smoking doesn't have anything to do with the confusion!!!! Felt like smacking him upside his head!! He's a non smoker, nver has smoked and is very supportive of me, but he just flat doesn't understand what its like going thru it. I guess as they say, "this too shall pass". I sure hope it does. Really proud of my stats though and also VERY proud of yours, with as many problems as you've had!! Stick with it hon!! Chickenstix, You can be pleased with your progress. Two is better than one and three is better than two. (sounds profound if you make it confusing enough) You are getting better all the time. You are learning how to cope. I'll pass along something my husband said to me when I was in "Blah blah land" and happy people made me angry~lol Understand that misery doesn't exist in the world, but in our mind. It is not our present conditions, but our reactions to those conditions that are the source of our pain. The fault lies in us. Self-pity is self-defeating; no good can come out of it, so accept responsibility and change yourself. I wanted to smack him so hard for saying that awful truth to me! ;) I hugged him instead. Hang N there! This too shall pass~ ~all the best 2 My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 197 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,349 Amount Saved: $985 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 18 Mins: 18 Seconds: 51
