Thank you everyone!!!! I didnt think anyone responded to my first post and felt all alone and then today when I was having a weak moment, I found all of your responses and had tears in my eyes. Thank you all so very much! I know I need all of you and your words of wisdom. I have exercised four times today and still feel like I am a bundle of nerves. My husband cleaned my Jeep out today so I didnt have to get into a smokey car. My mother took me to lunch and out of respect for my struggle, didnt light up herself even though she is a heavy smoker. My five year old said that since I am giving up smoking, she is going to give up lying, lol! Anyway, I plan to visit this site all the time. I wont give in. I see that all of you have worked so hard and have so much to offer a new quitter like myself. I am going cold turkey and hope that I have made the right decision. Believe it or not, I was afraid of being hooked on the patch or gum. My brother was on the patch for two years and when he finally peeled it off, he started smoking. I guess it must be in the family. My other brother has chewed nicorette gum even longer. I dont want to have nicotine in my system at all if I can help it. I dont know if I can do it, but I am going to try.
Thanks again everyone. I felt so understood by your words. Denisey :)
