hi Josie, Hi Danielle, I found two posts in the 365days and The one lablebed COGNITIVE DISTORTIONS in the section CHALLENGING YOUR NEG THOUGHTS came up a "winner". may 28 2007. You know, these are also the same as the ones in my OCD work-book. Same types just different examples. I think they are part of session 4, I I will work on a few more thought diaries and when I have a few I will look at #4 to try these... I will try to copy into my homework log in the other section - where I did session 3 with you guys... Thanks.

Do a search for cognitive distortions within the threads (search messages). This is what Danielle was indicating :) Hope this helps, Josie, Support Specialist

Wildcat, Good plan! Sounds like you've worked hard this week. I would recommend searching for the cognitive distortions thread here in the discussion forums. It may be helpful in further identifying patterns in your thinking. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

:blush:oups bathroom break... and I had to go close alll the lights. Tiger is afraid of the dark and he opened the hallway light to go o the bathroom, then the bathroom light, and then the kitchen lights to get a snack - the "bagel chips" and closed nothing when he came back... I was the same till 12 yrs... so session 3! So part of my depressed state; is due to too much negative interactions (or too much focus on these negative perceptions) with my environment. It is the imbalance that drives it... not the situations wait no not quite IT IS NOT THE SITUATION - ITS HOW I THINK ABOUT THE SITUATION SO it is not about having a member of my work team qui nous boude that is depressing me. It is my interpretations of her mood. I am blaming myself! when it could be her family, her doctor, or even her hormones... I blame myself, and add more on when I get home and blame myself for my Tiamat's lousy behaviour, my Tiger's difficulties with schoool work, and my husband's work stress RIGHT!?! So this week my activity schedual could include notations of when I feel the energy draining and what is going on at that moment... on or two words in my agenda should give me enough memory clus till ?lunch? or breaks? My treatment goal could be to try to change the thoughts to more positive -or neutral- evaluations to help me to stop/slow down the slide towards the abyss... pleasant activity: tomorrow night I want to bring my gang to see the chinese lantern fest at the botanical gardens (and the bal des citrouilles). so Partick, Danielle, what do you think? Am I somewhere near the game-trail in the wilderness? b]hey gang what are your homework sheets like?

sorry i had to take care of some BIG hug-deficiencies... and a need for an evening snack... growing kids are hungry kids. I got over cooked bagel slices with sweet red pepper dip for Tiger and another Six teen show. so I am good to go for a bit... Pleasant Activity : I went for a walk of 30 mins with a pause at the pharmacist on thursday. I chose to walk where I usually drive over. And my daughter was such a good girl to let me go. Yet she told me she is afraid that I will not return. I do not have a strong hold on life but I am not suicidal :confuse: I am hoping to try it again this week. The walk; not the pharmacist. Activity scheduals: The one from this program I use to note what I am feeling and doing at the moment I am distracted from work. So often I am analysing motives and behaviors of those that are moving around me. It is all in my head because none are really interacting directly with me. THe one I made myself to track visually over the month has a lot of "stable" entries and a bit of wave this week... mildly depressed and hypomanic...the Stable week oct 1-4 has a lot of tired feelings and sleepy afternoons. oct 13-16 has a lot of mildly depressed... related to facing the funeral of my husband's god-mother and having my son and husband very sick and my daughter mildly sick. Also, I have less sleep entered 7hrs average (oct 1-5 has sleep at 8.5hrs ave. treatement goals: I am going with the exercise of the month from wy psychologist... try to recognise the negative thought spirial as soon as possible! Last night I think I got somewhere. as you all saw Thursday and Friday were difficult and Friday night we went to a nice restaurant for supper where my daughter whinned and wondered throughtout the meal. Then we went to get a birthday gift and turned round the store for an hour like chickens without heads... And my 10:30pm... my kids and husband were scratching their heads... lice for the second time since september! I was beging to feel like a horrible parent and spouse... I acctually spoke to my husband about the feelings and my fatigue and realised the two were related I was too tired from worry all week and the lack of PROPER sleep to start lice treatments and wash everythingin hot water and reasure the gang and deal with my disgust with the parasites!

hi Patrick, Danielle, bon, saturday night my, son (Tiger) is watching six teen (preparing to dive us crazy in 7 yrs?) and my daughter (Tiamat) is sleeping. Perfect to concentrate on my homework! Session 3... reviewing is the first thing so session two was ... OKAY :8|: understand the relationship between doing and feeling. 1- I was tring to do my work Thursday and I felt like escaping. I felt like working was BORING... imagine I love the problems and logic of my accounting job and I was bored. I thing the relationship between the two is the fact were are supposed to upgrade our accounting software next summer - and we the guppies at the bottom of the pond were let in on the secret. They -the corporate gods - are going to allow us access to a test environment during the winter SO I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL NEW PROJECT TO TACKLE. I love to find bugs and problems so this is the best!!! and everything else is second fiddle.

Danielle, Like a lot on impatient people I always have questions about the homework and I want answers toute de suite. I, like a good depressive, fall into apathy when I don't get an instant answer. I'll try to remember that life is not always instantaneous with answers. I'll ask. I get so hare-brained when I'm anxious that I forget that the world doesn't revolve on the very next minute...
