Hi Guys!
I'm 29 years old and have smoked for a total of 17 years. I have tried to QUIT many times (so many, I can't count!) and this is my LAST TIME!
I Quit to save my health or atleast what's left of it, I QUIT for me, my kids and M~O~N~E~Y... L.O.T.S. of S.A.V.E.D. M.O.N.E.Y.
I QUIT to CHALLENGE the inner beast in me because I can AND I WILL succeed!

Anna,
Is that your pup in the pic? It looks just like my dog! She loves to go swimming too! She thinks the pool is hers. (Well it is, but don't tell her that!)

Hi mamakitty!
We use to have a kitty nammed mamakitty too. :) She has since passed away though. :(
I just want you to know that I started at 12 years old and have smoked for 17 years. I've tried to quit several times and this is it! I am on the patches and just stepped down to Step 2 today (I'm actually doing okay, better than I thought!).
I just want you to know that YOU Can Do This, NO Matter What You Use To Get You Through, YOU CAN DO IT! You Have To WANT To QUIT More Than You WANT TO SMOKE!
Good Luck! I'm rootin for ya!

Hi Sara.
Sounds like we are so much alike but my hubby hasn't QUIT. We are about the same age pretty much and started at the same age. HA! Our names even rhyme!, Mine starts with a L.
It's been a hell of a ride through this last month of being smoke-free and I just want you to know that if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT!
You have to want to QUIT more than you want to smoke!
Yes, bad days are going to come but if you keep a positive attitude, IT'S SO MUCH EASIER! I promise, it is!
BTW, I'm using the patch and flying high on WILL POWER!
Pretty soon, those 5 days will be 5 weeks, then 5 months and someday 5 years. You can do it!
Congratulations for coming this far! :)

Well, to be honest, I really don't notice a change right now either, other than knowing I'm 7 mg less. I even stared a pack of menthol Marlboro down today that were sitting on my table an arm reach away. Not my brand but one that I would have smoked, it would have been good enough... I just stared at them, knowing I could steal one and my friend would never know it and I didn't. I was laughing at them, petting my dogs head as I turned to him telling him how much I love him.
I honestly feel that I'm breaking free from the demon.

Hi Violet!
It'll be a month for me tomorrow and I'm only using the patch and this site! It is incredibly helpful. I come here everyday just to read and post.
Congratulations on your QUIT!

Today wasn't so bad. I hope it only gets easier from here on out.
Now all I'll have to worry about is getting up earlier to work out for an hour everyday. I'll tell ya, I am so freakin tired in the morning, like I don't wanna get up but once I hit the shower, I'm okay. Talk about draggin ass. Holy MOLY!
I went for a walk today down the road with my dog to my friend's house. Her smoke stole my breath and we were outside. It's like I can't breath around it! Just somethin about it that I can't stand. Is that weird or what?!
I ~L~U~V~ deep breathing. Man, I fill up on that fresh air, ALL the TIME too!

The dog is staying away from the site and I have to pick the pool up on Thursday after I finish up my work week.
Can't smoke if you're all wet! :p
Last year I use to swim under water two lengths of the pool (wall to wall (24 ft Above Ground)) I would like to see how I do since I quit smoking. Maybe I can make it on a third trip...
Might need to practice. I dunno. ;p
