Hey ex-roller.
...How strong do you feel with your quit??? I mean do u truly see yourself as a non smoker? If theres days when the temptation is so strong that u question your quit then I don't think u r ready.

Hey Cincere, thanks to you also for responding and your input!! Regarding your question about my quit - it's not so much the cravings* (see my opening post): I can generally manage just about, it's just the crotchetiness...wow talk about grumpy with a big G - that's me lol!! - plus feeling so very low spirited. Also how much worse would I be if I were to go cold turkey now - I'm not so sure, so I decided to play safe for the time being and change nothing...
Yes I am truly committed, but I am being very cautious right now - where I go, who I see, too avoid as much temptation as possible - like I said I don't feel tempted to smoke at all, but given a situation I'm not ready for yet (well I'd rather err on the side of caution)...
Thanks - I'll keep checking in on you to see how you're doing.... :)

Hi Rosie
Well done for coming through this and not slipping!! I have been exactly the same as you this last week, for no apparent reason - like you said it just came like a bolt out of the blue.
Thankfully I too am feeling I'm coming out the other end of this...unscathed and quit intact, although having had a bit of a shock!
You are absolutely right about the support we get here - it is second to none, and I too think I wouldn't have made it without everyone (including you Rosie!)
So, let's keep at it - long live the quit!!

Hi Blythe - yes I also went through the toughest time of my quit at around 40 days but just to let you know, it passed, and what got me through was the encouraging uplifting people right here!!
Keep at it - it won't last - it really won't!!
Well done for a fabulous quit!!

I think someone who quits more than a pack a day is supposed to use the 4mg gum first then drop down to the 2mg after a period of time (don't know how long though) - I would check at you no smoking clinic if you have one.
Congrats on your quit!!
