Getting by 2

106oF??  That's intolerable.  It's a beautiful early fall day here.  Sunny and about 20oC (sorry...don't know what that is in Fahrenheit).  Hoping tonight is nice and clear so I can see the eclipse of the harvest moon (if I can stay up that late).

Yuck.

I'm not sure which I'd like more:  you're really hot, dry weather...or the hot but humid weather we get here in Ontario.  35oC which feels like it's over 40oC (104oF) with the humidity is like walking into a sauna.

It hits you as soon as you walk outside like a punch in the chest and takes your breath away (just like when you walk into a -35oC winter day only the opposite).  You sweat with every movement, and you feel like you need a shower as soon as you get out of the shower.

Here's hoping you get some relief from the heat and some rain.

Another Setback

Sigh......

I have been doing so well over the last 5 1/2 weeks or so.

Back in the middle of August my anxiety got out of control (again) and my doctor gave me some clonazepam to help me get over the hump.  I took it for a week...and was then on holidays from work for 2 weeks and came back after Labour Day.  I was feeling well...my anxiety was very low...and I was starting to think things were turning around for me.

Now today (actually starting a bit yesterday)...things have started going downhill and I can feel myself getting VERY anxious again.

My chest hurts, my tummy has butterflies the size of turkeys in it, I feel like I'm choking, and 100 other anxiety symptoms.

Before going on holidays I had a very bad habit I would use at work to try to ease my anxiety.  Since I started the clonazepam...I haven't even needed to do this to help my anxiety....but I broke down and did it today.  I'm disappointed in myself for doing it....and it really didn't seem to help (not that it was helping before).

Anyway....hopefully this is just a small bump in the road and I'll get back to feeling better (and more hopeful) soon.

Doing a bit better.  Still not like I was a week or so ago...but a bit better than before.  Thanks for asking Davit.

Traveled to my sister's place this weekend and got to spend time with my fur-niece, Madison.  She's the best anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med there is.  You know you're loved when she pees on the floor because she's so excited to see you.

Watching the last few regular season Blue Jays games.  Very excited for post-season baseball.  22 years is a long time.....

Glad your white count is going down and your body is fighting the infection.

I love apple pie...either with maple syrup on it or vanilla ice cream.

Love hot chocolate too.

It's a cold, windy, rainy day here.  A perfect day for reading, cuddling with the dog and having a nap.

Hi my name is Lisa

Hello

I log into this site every 2-3 days and try to read as many of the most recent posts as possible.

Congrats on overcoming your agoraphobia.  You should be very proud.

Being stuck in situations where you can't escape can be very difficult to deal with.  I don't panic in those situations, but I do get rather annoyed and frustrated...especially in traffic.

Hope this site is able to help you.

Hi everyone, just wanted to intdoduce my self.

My anxiety attacks can last days too.  It is physically and emotionally draining as you said.  I wouldn't wish it on anyone.  And when the attack finally ends...you crash so hard and feel like you've been hit by a truck or gone 20 rounds with Mike Tyson (or both).

Hopefully this site will help you.

Remembering the benefits of activities

One of the things that helps me with my exercise is to actually plan or schedule it into my day.  For instance, I exercise after work on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.  I know if I don't do it as soon as I get home, I wont do it.  On the weekends I usually do my exercise around the same time as weekdays (e.g. 3:30 or 4:00 which is about when I get home from work).

As everyone knows, schedules change all the time...so I'm not always able to follow the above schedule.  I do the best I can....
