What a great trip I've had down memory lane reading through this thread.
New Quitters....there is a lot of wisdom in here, but you have to be patient and go through the thread...by the time you have done this, your crave may have subsided.
As for my craves....they are as old as the hills too....the triggers exist occasionally but I just love them as a chance to revel in the fact that I quit 6+ years ago.
Hello Kiwi and Shevie, it's great to see you again!
I'm with you both, it's all over and I am loving the feeling of freedom and relaxation. No stresses or even my fight against cancer provide enough triggers to make me want to smoke again.
Yet another 'oldie' comes out of the woodwork to say Congratulations Mr Ed on your 5 years! You have been such a force on this site and an inspiration to many!
I did not forget!.....just could not login to the site. I put a post in Facebook yeterday instead! It is so great to see so many 'old' friends on this thread.
Huge Congratulations to you on your 6th Anniversary!
I so remember my six month anniversary...it meant so much and I did not have the mountains to climb, which you have had. All the more reason for you to celebrate and reward yourself. Congratulations!
It sounds like you are both stressed and over-tired. Both of these things can cause your body to give you a warning that you are over-doing things. I doubt if your symptoms are to do with your quit as you have been quit for so long.
Your symptoms should not be ignored however, and I'd suggest you see your doctor and have it checked out. I never really had the phlegm clear up, even after nearly 7 years......caused by some COPD from 40 years of smoking! It does get worse when I'm stressed or tired, but I'd still suggest you see a doctor to be sure.
