Hi all! I am 43 years old and have been smoking for about 24 years. I have been trying to quit for the last 13 years. I've probably tried to quit at least a dozen times. I am desparate for support to quit. Thank you for any advice and support/coaching you can offer.

Dear Healer....
You're sharp!! As a matter of fact, I realized I used the word "trying" the minute I typed it. You caught me and I thank you for pointing that out. Linda
Missy! Oh my goodness! I'm so thankful that you responded. I was hoping that there were others out there. I really appreciate it and I think this site is going to be extremely helpful. Thank you again!
PETEG - I can totally relate to what you're saying. I think this site is will be a life saver. Please keep posting. We will support one another. I'm cheering you on.
Bobby, I can hear that you're scared and you are concerned for your wife and your future with her and her health. I also hear that you don't think that she can do it. My advice would be this, if she tries and fails, acknowledge that she tried and be her biggest cheerleader....like you're absolutely positively certain that she'll quit and you have complete confidence in her. So acknowledge that she tried and invite her to keep trying and not to give up that you believe in her. Hope that helps.
Can anyone tell me...will my quit meter show up on my posts after the first day (today). I have it marked in my profile that I would like it shown when I post, but I don't see it when I post. Any help? Not smoking....have the 14 mg patch on right now. There was a time this morning and again after lunch when I wanted to smoke, but I was remembering all of you inspiring people and so glad that I have the support of hundreds of you who are going through and have gone through this. Thanks! :)
Hi all! Today is the day! Here we go!!!!! Day 1. Put on the patch this morning. Threw my cigarettes out last night. You guys have all been wonderful! Thank you! I'll be leaning on you. Glad you're there.
Linda
On my profile page it asks me if I want to post my quit meter and I have it as a "yes", but when I post it doesn't show up???? Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
