Enough applause already. What's quittin' if you don't have any buddies to share it with?
When I first joined this site, I noticed the friendships between the people who quit around the same times and I wanted that for our group too. This site is huge and a soul could get lost on your own.
I hope we haven't lost anyone to the wayside, but there are a few that haven't posted for awhile. Let's hope there just 'lurking".
Anyway, Bobbi, keep quit while you're away, we'll miss you. Just keep this thought...Smoking is not an option, NOPE!

Wow, Melinda, 6 weeks! You don't want to give that good a quit up now. Why did you go off the Chantix, you were half way there!
Perhaps the feeling funny was just the reaction to being smoke free.
Please reconsider. I would go back on and finish the program of Chantix. Take lots of slow deep breaths. You can do this! Hang on!
One smoke will just put you back to smoking and you don't want that.
Not One Puff Ever is our motto,NOPE
Tell yourself, smoking is not an option, Find a distraction to pull you thru, have a big drink of ice water, suck on a straw, beat on a pillow...try anything but smoking!

I share your fear Tony, I occasionally worry about what reaction I might have when things get really bad, because that is when I have caved in the past. I have been keeping this thought in mind, Smoking is not an option! I will have to choose some other method of calming, whether it be suck ona straw, yell at my husband, cry, or just slam the door and hide for a while. It is becoming clearer to me each day, that I have a choice in everything I do. So if I have a choice, why not choose whats best for me? Easy enough to say when I am calm, but yesterday I had a very stressful afternoon at work ,came home & not not better here, then my daughter walks in with a smoke....I took a deep breath and decided, so what?
I learned this one from Lookingglass...
Let the craves come and rant all they want, I am not going back!
Keep your chin up! It will get easier and easier. :)
