It's good to hear that you are are still smoke free on day 32 now if I'm counting right.
Once you get that hip replaced, you're going to have so much energy from not smoking that I hope you won't over do it and wear it out in the 1st year. <laughing> Maybe you'll even go skiing with all of the snow.
200 days and counting....AWESOME quit! Keep racking up the days and before you know it, it will be a year. Time sure does fly when you're enjoying life, smoke free of course.
Welcome to the SSC. Congratulations on the good news! I can't think of a better motivation for quitting than that.
Hopeful2 has some good advice, read read read. Be prepared for the unexpected. Since you've quit before you know that the triggers are everywhere.
Do your best tomorrow morning and remember to keep your guard up. If you feel weak and you start to light one up, remember why you need to quit. It's not just for you anymore.
I wish you the best on your journey, and hopefully this time you'll make it stick FOREVER.
Wow, you're already past the 3 week mark, that's GREAT! You have every right to be proud of yourself too. Make sure you reward yourself for the all the effort you've put into your quit.
Keep up with the great start you have, it sounds like you are doing just fine so far.
A big congratulations on your quit journey! Some people do experience a pain in their chest when they quit, and some people do not. If you are concerned about it and it does not subside with a little time, go see your doctor and put your nerves to rest.
It sounds like you are doing pretty good, I mean, you haven't bitten off a head yet, or put someone in traction.
It only gets better from here on. Enjoy your smokeless freedom!
Hope all is going well for you on your quit. No matter what life throws at you, it's NOT a reason to give in and start smoking again. You're in control of your life again now, and you're doing it for yourself. Stress CAN be tolerated without a cigarette buddy hang in there. Remember your deep breathing exercises, it really does help to calm your nerves.
It's hard to believe that it's been 47 days ALREADY for you. Wow time sure does fly. I hope you're still rewarding yourself, you deserve it!
It's good to hear that the sleep issue is getting better. You've gained 18 pounds already? Holy cow. I take it you're not snacking on just fruits and veggies. At least you seem to have your quit under control. In my opinion it's better to gain some weight during the start of a quit, that to never have quit at all. Once the quit is well under control then you can work on the weight issue.
Keep fighting those urges and/or cravings. The triggers are everywhere and you're still relearning how to disassociate them from cigarettes. It's nice to hear that you think that the smell of cigarettes on clothes reeks too. You're doing great!
