A bit about me ...

Just a quick quibble with Jim's response, that suggested his friends and family could have prevented death.  Obviously, they could not, and I know Jim did not mean that.  But it's a good place to raise the assertion that while we cannot choose our death, we can choose our life.  How do we best mark the time between the animation of our soul (if you believe in such as thing as Plato did), and our entrance into the Hereafter?

We cannot choose how we will die (unless we are terrorists), but we can choose how we will live.  Smoke-free??  I thought so.

Hey Terri!!!

Welcome to the SSC and congratulations for making the decision to quit!  I, too, have seen too many of my friends and relatives die when they possibly could have prevented it!  These life experiences do make an impression and I'm soooo glad that some of us take the time to digest these experiences and do something positive for themselves!

Please take the time to go through the Program here, as well as the other resources on the site!  They are invaluable and will definitely be a benefit!  Stick close, read and learn and yell if you need a hand!  As our buddy Breather always relays... strength in numbers!

Well hello everyone want to share a few things about me....

I'm 41 been smoking for far too long quit a few times in the past and started again like others here but is now  back on track!!! .

Want to share with you a story I have spent the last yr and half watch one young person die of cancer 35 to be exact newly married and a baby girl just shy of 2 ... lost him just this Sept.

2 weeks ago I found a lump in my mouth I went to the dr's waited  a week of not knowing what’s what until I could see and hear from the specialist worst week of my life I quit smoking again during this time how I'm not sure? other than fear in its self.

I got word all looks ok for now thank God.

I like many out there thought no not me...... The last few weeks being scared crying in my sleep or should I say no sleep I wish on no one I have a 18 yr old daughter that I'm happy to say I don't have to say to her I have cancer

I have tomorrow to look forward to.

My out look on life is different I wish nothing more than none of you never have to endure my last few weeks!

Live, love and breath
and DON"T SMOKE

Terri
