Jacks Back and Having Another Go!!

Hey Jack!!

My dad's name was Jack!   Did mention if you were going to use an NRT to help you out with your quit?   I used Chantix, and it sure minimized the cravings!   Also made those nasty butts taste like crap after about 3 days and really started the ball rolling on the preparation for my quit!!!

I really know what you mean about driving without cigarettes!!  My first trip this past summer was sort of hard, but I manager very well!!!  I'll be making a long trip, about 1400 miles, next week to go my hometown for the holidays.  This will be my first time going on that long of a road trip smoke free!!   The van is sure going to be smelling a LOT better this trip!!!

Keep preparing well, Jack!!!  I really want you to succeed because the other Jack in my life didn't!!!

        Jim

Cheers All and its good to be back-

I had a practice last night by leaving my fags(cigs) in the car and to see how long I could last with retrieving them as it was a cold, cold night.

2 hours.....Not bad eh!¬!

Think I will try that again.

Jack,

I remember thinking I would never be able to drive again without a cigarette, as if the cig was doing it for me.  Took some time, but I actually think I drive better now.

Everything good  comes in time.  Remember that.

Hey Jack!!!!

I got to looking at your quit meter and noticed that it now reads March 1st!!!  Is that a mistake or did you really think it was going to take you an extra 3 months to prepare???      If so, no biggie!!!  Just remember the 6 P's!!!

I remember you Jack, I think by several previous names!  You were soooo much fun.  I was the previous Gonnadoit, and this time I'm gonna do it!  I'm glad there are some more repeat offenders...I feel much more at home (and not quite the quitter of the quitters!)  However, I doubt that I am a lone sheep in this pasture......
Glad to have you here!
