Hi alohakeia! You bet i will! I've also got the Allen Carr book coming. My little library here didn't have it, so they are bringing it in from another library. I should have it wens. I'm excited to read it. Been doing good today! Still have the dizzy's on occasion, and my stomach is lurching now and then, but I have been downing fruit and water. It seems to help. Does anyone else experience muscle aches and light sensitivity? I have been today, but I haven't let it slow me down. Thanks for the message alohakeia. I was beginning to wonder where everyone went!

Danno Well, if that doesn't give you some motivation, I don't know what will. Sorry your family had to go through that. I bet your mother is thrilled. Good work on the cutting down! I am getting excited for your quit date. Keep us posted. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 172 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,880 Amount Saved: $1,169.60 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 1 Mins: 20 Seconds: 4

Good Day all! Hows it going everyone? Well, I told my family of my plans last night. My mother in particular was THRILLED! My father had tried to quit a couple of times as well, so she knows what to expect. {she says.} LOL! I was reminded of something last night. My father actually DID quit before he died, but do you know what it took for him to do it? 3 heart-attacks, open-heart surgery, and then a major Stroke that wiped his memory of ever smoking. He couldn't remember smoking. He was smoke free for the last 5 years of his life, and it cost him his speech, movement of his right side, ability to read, or to even understand some of the most minor things. He never got any of that back. We moved a hospital bed into the living room and took care of him there. He was totally dependent on us for everything. He died at 55 years of age. Yet another reminder of the road I DON'T want to be on. Sorry for rambling people. Just getting this out so I can see it in type. I hope everyone is have a good day!!

Hi! No, no quit day as of yet. I'm backing off the Nicotine Train slow and steady though! I'll check out the thread you mentioned. Thanks!

Danno and Sie marie, I'm bumping up a thread called Put it in Writing for you two. It has a couple of letters you can give to your families. Might be helpful. Have you set a quit date yet Danno? Sounds like you are doing good in cutting down. I think maybe it's time I told my family and friends what my plan is....yes. So far noone knows but my sister, as she's wanting to quit also. I've been more than my normal reclusive the past few days as my mood isn't sparkling! LOL! {To say the least.} But I am still excited by the whole prospect of being a NON-smoker. I plan to take the money saved from the butts, and put it into more music equipment. {I play Keyboards.} Would love to reward myself with an external Hard Drive for my ASR-10 and be able to record directly to CD. Lord...Listen to me rambling...sorry folks! Thanks for the message Kelly! Sure is something to consider!

Hi Danno! So glad to hear you are doing well and still so excited! Maybe it's time to quit all together? You are doing so well cutting down, might as well get it done, eh?
