Hi Group- I have been on here many times before and Ive decided not I`m not giving up, giving up!! I would like to thankyou all for the emails and messages of support and I promise I wont fly to Spain again and buy a Villa-yes thats where I`ve been- But my quit starts again and I`m glad, so glad, to be back with my quit family again. All quitters who dont know me.. I`m Jacko. I have been on here many times over the years. Im 41 years old and been smoking full time for over 30 years. I have tried everthing incl Zyban. I have just took my last pill again and wont smoke forever!! I am giving up because I want to live longer. I wont lie and say I hate smoking, because I dont. I do enjoy a smoke but of all the cigs I had yesterday, I cant remember which one I enjoyed. Its now just become a habit. My daughter is expecting our first Grandchild in October and I really wanna see the baby grow. If I carry on smoking like I do, I`m gonna miss out on all the good things in life when my retirement comes around. If I make it that far. My other main problem is I own a bar. RosiesBar has been my baby for 18 months now and its doing really well. The new no smoking law in the Uk comes into force next year so I think now is as good a time as any to really get a grip with my life. I live in the North West of England. I enjoy soccer, soccer, soccer and soccer. I love the game. Manchester City F.C. is my love!!I also got into baseball when I lived in Atlantic City, Usa. Its a great game. I watch Piladelphia in all American sports. Im married and I have 4 kids. 3 girls and boy, ages 19, 18,13 and 10. My wife is a non smoker. My parents both smoke and are feeling the effects also, but they wont give up, even tho` they have tried. I must now concentrate on taking the pils at the correct times over the next 8 days and then its all systems go. Thanks for taking the time in reading my plight-I will read all the posts on this site to gain info and hopefully this will all lead me to the goal of my dreams. Becoming a non-smoker. [/quote] Auntie, if you look back through some of Jacko's old posts, he mentions he owned Rosie's Bar in the U.K.(in Newton or Earlestown)if I remember correctly. He's posted plenty of times since he mentioned where he was from, how proud he was of implementing a no-smoking policy at his bar, and how helpful this site had been to him. Last time we heard from him he was back from Spain and determined to re-start his quit (IIRC...).
