did I cheat or not?

Your not hopeless, you have a 174 days quit going, that is AWESOME!!  I still like the smell of them, but I will not smoke one again, and I try and avoid areas where people are smoking. The guys at work are ruthless, they offer me smokes, light them and tell me how good they are, basically trying to get me break, but they're only making my resolve stronger. You didn't cheat, you were breathing, and someones smoke violated your air space..

No cheat.........I do still struggle with the first hit of fresh, un-inhaled smoke.  It still holds an allure that I am fighting.  I quit 80 days ago.  That was my promise to myself and there is no turning back....too much upside now!!!!

You are not stupid, just learning how to control your life, rather than living as a junky.  Now, if you start shotgunning other people's smoke---that's stupid!
Keep the quit, Brat!

You were a victim of circumstance!

You didn't cheat and you are still on you path to greatness!

Don't let it get to you!  Write down all the good things that have come from your quit and see that you are on the right side!

NOT A CHEAT!  No way I would consider that cheating!  If I sit in front of McDonald's to smell the food am I cheating on my diet!  No way!!  Don't be too hard on yourself Brat.  You walked away and kept your quit... Congrats!!

In my humble opinion, you didn't cheat.  You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.  You didn't take a puff.  It would be like walking by a group of smokers outside a restaurant or bar and inhaling some of their smoke.  Now if you would have asked the guy to bum a smoke then you smoked the cig, that would be different story, in my opinion.

K,, so this is what happened. I was coming out of the grocery store and this guy was having a cig but I didn`t see the cig until I came out and just as I did he happened to blow out his drag,,well I took a deep breath, sucked in some second hand smoke and then got the heck outta there,, question...was that considered cheating or taking a puff?   was kinda nice but now I feel guilty. Sometimes I am so stupid when it comes to cigs, I still cannot be around anyone who smokes as I know I would as well.
