I don't use the quote button, I've never been able to figure out how it's supposed to work. Tresa, this is a full set of brackets []. You need both parts at the beginning and at the end. At the end you put a slash after the [& before typing the word quote. So, do this: Left bracket, type the word quote, right bracket, paste your quote, left bracket forward slash, type the word quote again, right bracket.
