What Are Your Quit Names and Why Did You Choose Them?

17 years ago 0 322 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Group Gonna bring in something new now for us all the ponder on- What Are Your Quit Names and were do they come from? We all know were we are doing our quit now-that thread is still going strong. Everyone is still with us since I come on here 45 days ago-well at least I think they are. My quit name JACKO is an obvious one (jackson) but some quit names are mad, some are brilliant, some are crazy(oinkoink)and some are funny. I suppose we can guess certain names and some change them during the quit? Why is that? Hope this can lift us away from the quit a little and let us all just have a general chat about life itself. Hi Marie is not my first name but close. It's an abreviation of my name that people use often. So since it's familiar to me I decided to use it. Have a good one and thanks Jacko :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 847 Amount Saved: $224 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 10 Mins: 41 Seconds: 58

Jacko, your threads are so much fun! Anyway, my name is Andrea and I have several nicknames, that just depend on the person: Ang, Angie, Angelina, Andy, Andy Pandy, Pandora, and Becky. I just threw a dart. :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,246 Amount Saved: $294.5 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 5 Mins: 45 Seconds: 58

I picked my name because I was so "determined to quit" this time and it was the first thing that came to my mind. I replied to a thread, and someone shortened it to D2Q, which I thought was cool. My real name is Carol. Stay strong - stay quit!! I have always been mama to everyone, no kids and my kids friends. Even my mother calls me mama. I am a person who always takes care of everyone. Now I am taking care of myself by quitting smoking! Hi Jacko, really interesting thread...a good read. Lilly is not my real name, I chose it because flowers are my biggest reward and Lilies especially cos they are so huge, brilliant colours, flamboyuant and dangerous (their pollen stains anything!)...describes me perfectly!!! (Yup, Mr Ed, Lily the flower with one L, Lilly me with 2 L's ...old joke!) Let the quit be with us..stay strong...Lilly :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 89 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,679 Amount Saved: 445 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 13 Mins: 57 Seconds: 5

I chose the name 'Breaking Free' because I have broken free from so many things that would only hold me back in life. Smoking was the last crutch I needed to break free of, thus the name. Now I am known as 'Free'. Guess why. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 101 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,050 Amount Saved: $404 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 13 Mins: 15 Seconds: 46
