48 hours of hell, I do want a smoke!

Ron, you're in my prayers. Smoking is not the answer to any of your problems. Take a walk and talk to the Higher Power that leads you and admit your need for help. Best of luck! T. Ron my heart goes out to you for all the stress you most certainly are under. I'm sure you are probably feeling a lot of anxiety concerning your upcoming surgery. You seem to have an excellent team of doctors surrounding you on this. Give them a non-smoking patient. Give yourself to them as healthy as you can so that the healing process produces the best outcome possible. I will defiantly say a prayer for you. Hang in there!~ I know there is a lot of stress but you got this far, don't give it up now! You will heal so much better and quicker if you don't smoke. Some surgeons won't even operate until you quit depending on the severity of the operation. BTW, my uncle lives & works there at the hospital. He is an arthritis specialist but thought that was a cowinkydink DON'T GIVE UP MY FRIEND!!! Dear Ron, My prayers and thoughts are with you. You care, that's how achieved the success of those 74 days. It's really difficult to not be well, but smoking would just make it all worse. I hope that there is someone physically close to you that you can turn to right now. Of course you have us here at SSC but I think it's beneficial to have a spouse, close buddy or relative to hang out with you. Most men don't like to vent, I am happy you did and hope you tell us how you're feeling through all of this. We're here to support you 100%. Take care of yourself. Yes... I do Know the bad things about smoking. How it's addictive, causes cancers, heart problems, ect. But ya know what? I'm getting to the point that I really don't care. This quit has been so tough for me, (I know, it is for everyone); plus dealing with health issues makes it worse. Shortly after I quit smoking my right leg fell asleep and hasn't woke back up. Also the right side of my face goes numb at times. I contributed it to a side effect from not smoking. My chiropractor thought maybe from too much oxygen in the blood maybe. A MRI revealed a Brain Tumor. It's non-cancerous and operatable. June 1, 6:30 a.m. I go to get it removed in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I won't be online for a week or so till I get home. The two Doctors doing the surgery, the assistant is the top Neurosurgen at Mayo, the one performing the surgery is like 3rd best in Wisconsin. I'm in capable hands I hope. Thanks for letting me vent!!! Please, pray for me everyone. Take care my friends, Ron My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 74 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,603 Amount Saved: $499.5 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 12 Mins: 32 Seconds: 20

Ron, Please do not smoke. You are under a tremendeous amount of stress, I understand, but smoking will only complicate the matter. You need to be free of smoking/nicotene for your healing. You must know how important it is to not smoke for your recovery, right??? Please, please, please do not smoke. Those smoking thoughts are just your junkie talking. Taking advantage of you right now. Don't let him!! Get mad again..... Get your strength back..... Get out your reasons for not smoking..... Take deep breaths..... Grab your favorite CD, and put on some headphones and go for a walk (unless it is raining???)lol. Do anything, but get those smoking thoughts out of your head!!!! Do not give them the control. You have to let them go. Stop the battle, and give in to the freedom...... Put your thoughts aside, and think about anything else that has no relation to smoking. Gather a list of things you wish to accomplish. Go into detail of your dreams. Anything!!!! I cannot let you go Ron. Please. Take my hand. I'm still on the IM. I will walk with you through your troubles. I am here for you. I will be on all day today. You are in my prayers Ron. I know that after your sugery, you will feel better. I think you will enjoy your freedom. And I want to celebrate with you. So please, don't smoke. ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Mind My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,443 Amount Saved: $264.87 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 13 Mins: 16 Seconds: 12

Ron, Noooooooooooo! I'm not letting you go that easy! What are you thinking??? You have come way too far to give up now. And **YOU** give up on yourself???? There is something wrong with that picture, my friend. You have fought for your Quit and you have protected it in even the worst times. Now is just another tough day to hold that Quit up high and make sure it doesn't get hurt. IT and YOU are fragile right now - what a wonderful opportunity to get yourself grounded and focused, and find your center. Give yourself that gift! You have us. I am out this afternoon but I will be around this evening and there are others here. I can make myself available almost anytime, Ron, ANYTIME... ALLOW US TO SUPPORT YOU and allow YOU to fight for your Quit. Don't you dare let that junkie crap talking to get the best of you. FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS. You are facing some challenging times and you are not facing them alone. Now, let us support you. Ask for what you need. Anytime (that means ANY TIME) you need support, and no one is on the IM POST AND WAIT We will be here before during and after this ordeal, Ron. Period. You can do this - YOU ARE DOING THIS and we are all right here to love and support you. OKAY? :) Love and Blessings- Healer My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,854 Amount Saved: $376.65 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 13 Mins: 50 Seconds: 9
