That's a lot of feet!

Oh, and for you long-timers: 1 continuous end-to-end MILE of cigarettes is 19,200. So for those who were at 2 packs a day, that's 1 year and just under 4 months. How's that for a goal? To have a MILE of un-smoked cigs! Woo Hoo! By the way, I actually did this last week for Riverdale Man in his thread he started. The actual 'spec' of a standard cigarette is 3.3 inches long. That extra .3 can really make a big difference. Specifics: Camel, Benson/Hedges, Marlboro Lights, Merit, etc. 84 mm or 3.3059 in Virginia Slims - 98mm / 3.86119 in Capri - 97mm / 3.821799 in So take your total cigarettes not smoked and multiply times appropriate inches. Divide that result by 12 to get your feet of smokes not smoked! Some fun numbers: Standard Competition Swimming Pool - 150 feet (50 yards) A 747-400 (the most common 747) is 225 feet from nose to tail Average Football Field - 300 feet (1 yard being 3 feet) Empire State Building (roof) 1,250 feet 1 complete lap around a standard school track - 1,320 feet 1 mile - 5,280 feet 1 complete lap around Daytona Speedway - 7,920 feet (2.5 miles) Have fun! ... another way of looking at it. My 'cigarette actually smoked' - 30 yrs smoking at 20 per day avg = 1 cigarette > 10 miles long! Wonder how much tar that would produce? I think mine would be 106.5 ft. That's 35.5 yards...enough to recover 4 couches! (I'm in Interior design.)
