I think the most common symptom of panic is chest pain/tightness. That's what ALWAYS sent me into a panic. But now that I recognize what it is, I can just kinda close my eyes & breathe thru it. And tell myself in my head, "I can get thru this bcuz I've done it before". Sounds simple, but it works for me. It REALLY helps to have a positive mantra to repeat to yourself; helps keep the anxiety from turning into a panic attack.
