Heya Lore!

I want to echo the others in saying that you have come a long way. Be kind to yourself and patient. Things will settle and you will learn the skills you need in time. You will get through this and you wil get back to driving and such things in good time! So don't beat yourself up, celebrate your successes and please keep us posted :)

Glad to heave you back!

Heya Lore (I'm gonna have to get used to the new name )

Don't be so hard on yourself!  Anxiety is a tricky devil, and will make you feel ashamed and embarassed for things you don't need to.  The reality of it, is we take things on our time, not anyone else's.  In spite of all that you're going through, you've still progressed tremendously!  Remember to enjoy all your victories, and plan for future ones because I know you can do it!

Cheers!

Lore,

It sounds like despite the current challenges that you face, you have come a long way! You have accomplished so much, and you should feel extremely proud of yourself.
Keep up the great work. You'll get there
Hang in there Lore. It is great to have you back!

Hey everyone,
it's Miki from the past, and Lore from the present.

So much has been going on in my life since the last time I was on (Fall 08) and thanks to the new year I've decided to make more changes. I have completely stopped driving and have to have my parents take me places... I am still very embarrassed and ashamed about this but I feel that after I teach myself to get used to these new places, I will worry about how to get there, later. I really appreciate their support so much. The things that I've realized about myself is that I don't fear driving only, but I am very agoraphobic, still. I am able to go out and about to places I've been to only with my comfort people, but when I know my comfort people are far away then, I am afraid to leave my house.

But the progress I've made from my past panic disorder experiences is that I have a clearer understanding of what my problem is and I am able to go out, when I used to be trapped in my room many months ago. I am not at all chronically depressed as I used to be and I'm excited what my future holds. And I want to tell everyone who has lost hope that I was there, and eventually, I came out, so don't give up!
