We had a thought the other night, on where the panic attacks may actually originate from, and we came to talking about how during a panic attack, your brain is telling your body you have these symptoms, and they manifest from there. You are mentally creating the pain in your chest, or your head or wherever it may be. If you look at the opposite of these effects, you would would be looking at healing using the power of your mind.
Without getting to deep into this subject, alot of people have claimed this sort of thing is within human potential, but due to us (supposedly) only using 10% of our brain which of course has been open to discussion elsewhere before, however not many people would argue that we are not using all of our potential.
If this is the case, could these panic attacks me coming from a part of the brain we are not able to fully control or understand yet. Why we feel we cannot control these things is because its a part of the brain we are only tapping into at the moment, and why when we feel tired or run down mentally, that they can play even more havoc as we have EVEN less control over them
My fiance was the one who thought of this theory as he uses simular techniques for his meditation and various other physical activites he does. And although said that he may well be wrong, as we are both sure if he could have come up with this, why couldn't someone else, and if they have, has it been researched into before? But I thought it may well have been worthwhile posting it up as a simple theory and to hear other peoples views on it.
