Hi Miki , nope never had a Thyroid problem thank goodness . As for my throat when its bad it feels like it gone all tight and swollen . Sometimes when its really bad it hurts from under my ears to my throat as well , that is not nice at all . At least we now know it gets better , thats something .

Hello all,
I've been having Lumpthroat this whole week too. I think it's because my mom told me about her friend who has Thyroid problems and I can't stop thinking about it now. Does anyone else have thyroid problems? After my first panic attacks I got a swollen lymph node in the back of my ear. I had my docs check it and it's ok now.. but i did some research on it and it said you can get it swollen after thyroid problems. Is that true? Anyways, the lumpthroat feels like my throat is expanding outwards like something is growing inside... is that the same feeling with you all?

What have you started jhori82 ?

Well i have a touch of lumpthroat myself but not from anxiety ! If your reading Koneko look away now . I ate my first chip yesterday of my dinner . It stratched the top back of my throat as i swallowed  . I was in agony . Flashing memories of the pain i had when i got a fish bone stuck in my throat rushed back . But i didnt panic , just got on with eating the rest of my dinner , which was very hard indeed . Even drinking afterwards and today is quite painful . Lesson learnt for me , chew properly !!!!

I knew there were two different, but similar names!  (Different avatars, different name spelling...)  I appreciate your answering that for me, Breanne.

Honestly, it's hard to remember if the twitching was from stress.  I do remember that the twitch caused more stress during the episode...but once I let that care go, well...I haven't noticed my twitch since middle school now.  I know it still happens because I hear about it, but it has no effect on my psyche.

jhori82,

Don't worry, you're not losing it! Yes, there is myself, Breanne, and Brenna! I know, it is quite confusing!
In terms of the eye twitch, I find that they are normally caused by stress, or when I am really tired. Do you find that as well?

Something you don't like (lumpthroat), creates something you do like (goofy looks).  Ah, the yin and the yang of life.  Sometimes I wish my mom was wrong and everything WAS given to me on a golden platter.  But then again, I doubt I could truly appreciate it.

Every time I get the eye twitch I examine it like a doctor now.  Poke different spots, see if anything helps or if I can alter the twitch pattern, intensity, etc.  Yea, more looks for that, but the more I let go of that care the more I can focus on my eye twitch.  And that's what really matters, the thing that bugs me right?  Wait-a-minute...I see a pattern here...ah damn, never mind I lost it...

Thanks Breanne!  Oh also, I think I may be trippen, but is there a Brenne, Bilingual Health Educator as well?

Great strategy jhori82!

Dm, at least you can laugh about your the ol' twitch now!

Hope you both are doing well,

Jhori82...

again I laughed at your post as I have looked up too to create a more clear path... I too don't care about being seen as goofy.. kinda like it actually.   I don't get this very often but have had it a bit today... and I sure don't like it.  I have some stuff going on though so I know why it's happening.

You also mentioned the eye twitch.. I had one for almost 2 weeks at my most stressful time. Freakin' annoying and somewhat disturbing.  Funny when I think about it though.
