Mkroot, Keep working with your doctor, you'll find the right combination for you. It can be very frustrating and you are not alone in feeling this way. Keep working through the program, start challenging those anxious thoughts! Approach driving by setting up small goals. Try visualizing yourself sitting in the parked car first and work your way up until you are finally in the car driving. This learning experience may help teach you how to get some control over your anxiety. Keep us posted, Danielle ____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hi Mkroot! It is good that you came here to meet us ;) I think that medications are important but also hard work is needed to achieve the goal. So taking meds is the first thing you should do but the other is making some work with panic program. Some time ago I was also taking some meds and waiting when it will solve my problem. It didn't happend. But after hard work on panic program I am finally feeling better. So be strong and keep us informed how are you doing! Take care Milosz (read: me wash ;) )

Hi, I am new today. I have been having some major setbacks and I just wanted some input from others that are going through this to see if it will help. My doctor just increased my meds from 20mg of Prozac to 40mg Prozac a day and decreased my epival by 250mg. For me, it seems that every medication I have tried works for a while and then it stops. The biggest problem for me is driving! I know I can't avoid it because that would cause more problems but I have been scared this week to drive and have had to cancel appointments left, right and center to deal with my anxiety. I don't know if it is maybe the decrease in the epival that is causing me to feel this way or if the Prozac hasn't quite kicked in yet. I have only been on the new dosage for a couple of weeks so I am not sure. It's frustrating because I can't spend the rest of my life relying on people to do things for me. Anyone have any thoughts on medications or how long it takes Prozac to kick in..Please please write me.
