Summer Anxiety

being someone who suffers from Seasonal affective disorder, i did some homework and found some reports that there are periods during the summer time where patients felt depression even with full sunlight... i'm not really sure why the reports never seemd to have an explanation, they just explained that it does happen... it happens to me...

Although I am not aware of any scientific research on this subject, in theory the season' may aggravate your disorder depending on the type of anxiety you have been diagnosed with and the triggers to your anxiety. Keep persevering, you may need to work a little harder during the summer months. Danielle ___________________________________ The PC Support Team

Let me begin to tell you that I'm not, I have never been a Summer Person. And it doesn't help living in a med country. I live in Portugal. I prefer cool places. Always have! So yes I know what you mean! I'm quite ok (as far as I can be under this condition) during the winter, I LOVE the Fall! I'm a Fall/Spring person! Summer is a roller coster of emotions, allergies, everyday headaches, denial even, for me! Usual go off to cooler places on vacation for that reason. My anxiety disorder and my depression get a lot more difficult to deal with in the summer... You're not alone! Take care and Keep cool! :o) Hugs, Ana
